About Us

At Granola Life, we believe that the most unexpected detours can lead us to where we’re meant to be. Our journey began in the most unplanned way imaginable—a missed honeymoon, a campervan, and a first-ever hike in heels that changed everything.

Our Story

We’ve always felt drawn to national parks, especially those in Utah, even though we’d never been. My husband and I had saved for years, dreaming of a grand honeymoon in the Maldives after eloping in the Nevada desert. But life had other plans.

It was August 2021, and the Taliban’s resurgence had destabilized the region, including our layover airport in Doha, Qatar. Flights were grounded, people were being evacuated, and our trip was abruptly canceled—without a refund. Stunned and heartbroken, we found ourselves scrambling for a plan.

Last minute, my husband spotted a budget campervan rental, turned to me, and said, “Let’s just go where the wind takes us.” Little did we know, the wind was leading us home.

We left Nevada, cruised through Arizona, and crossed into the breathtaking red rocks of Southern Utah. It was a land that felt so familiar, so grounding—like we were always meant to be there. After wandering all around, but not quite in Zion National Park by accident (thanks to Apple Maps counting the park fee as a toll), we finally made it to Canyon Overlook at sunset.

I’ll never forget it. There we were, hiking in my heels meant for the Maldives, climbing the trail just as the sun cast its golden light over Zion’s towering red peaks. The world stopped. In that moment, everything made sense.

This was our calling. From that day forward, we dedicated our lives to exploring America’s national parks and inspiring others to connect with the beauty of the outdoors.

Our Mission

What started as two people and a campervan has grown into something far greater. We sold everything, built a tiny home in a school bus, and hit the road full-time. Along the way, Granola Life was born—a movement to inspire others to:

  • Get outside and explore the stunning landscapes of our homeland.
  • Leave no trace, protecting these lands for generations to come.
  • Celebrate connection with nature, ourselves, and each other.

We began humbly, selling park-inspired t-shirts on Etsy, but our vision quickly outgrew that small shop. Today, Granola Life is a thriving community of adventurers, conservationists, and outdoor enthusiasts who share our love for nature.

What We Do

Now, Granola Life is so much more than a store—it’s a lifestyle, a mission, and a family. Here’s how we’re making an impact:

  • Products with Purpose: We create gear inspired by national parks and the great outdoors, designed to spark joy and adventure. A portion of every purchase supports conservation efforts and park preservation.
  • Community Impact: We’ve inspired over 1,500 people to visit their first park and built a growing community of outdoor enthusiasts who share their journeys and tips.
  • Conservation Efforts: We’ve donated a significant portion of our profits to organizations dedicated to protecting public lands. Our team has personally volunteered over 2,000 hours cleaning trails, removing trash, and restoring habitats.
  • Advocacy and Education: Through our content, events, and partnerships, we teach the principles of Leave No Trace and empower others to be stewards of the land.

What's Next

We’re just getting started. Here’s what we’re working toward:

  • Inspire 10,000 first-time park visits: We want everyone to experience the magic we did on that first hike.
  • Volunteer 10,000 hours for conservation: We’re committed to leaving every place better than we found it.
  • Expand our product line: From tracking bracelets to eco-friendly gear, we’re creating tools to help you explore with purpose.
  • Support every national park: Through donations and partnerships, we aim to contribute to every park in the U.S. by 2030.
